This document explains how users of the Circle To Search application ("App") can request the deletion of their data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with control over your information.
1. Data We Process
To provide our services, Circle To Search processes two main categories of data:
a) Functional Data (Processed by Third Parties):
This includes the content you provide for AI processing features:
- Screen Content (Text & Images): When you use features like translation or OCR, the text or screenshot from your device is sent to our third-party AI service provider (OpenRouter) for real-time processing.
- Voice Recordings: When you use the voice input feature, your audio is sent to our AI service provider to be converted into text.
Important: This functional data is processed ephemerally (temporarily) to provide the requested service. Circle To Search does not store this personal data on its own servers. The handling of this data is subject to the privacy policies of our third-party providers.
b) Analytics Data:
To improve our App, we use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous data about app usage and performance. This includes:
- App interaction events (e.g., which features are used).
- Crash diagnostics.
- An anonymous app-instance identifier provided by Firebase.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
You have the right to request the deletion of your data. To submit a request, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to our support team at dev@circle-ai.org.
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
- In the body of the email, please clearly state that you wish for your data to be deleted. You do not need to provide a reason.
3. Our Deletion Process
Upon receiving your request via email, we will:
- Acknowledge Your Request: We will send you a confirmation email within 7 business days to let you know we have received your request.
- Delete Analytics Data: We will proceed to delete the analytics data associated with your app instance from our Firebase dashboard. This process may take up to 30 days to complete.
- Address Functional Data: As we do not store your screen content or voice recordings on our servers, there is no data of this type for us to delete. Data processed by our third-party AI providers is subject to their retention policies, which typically involve short-term, temporary storage for service monitoring before automatic deletion.
We will notify you again via email once the process is complete.
